Possibilities like never before!

Visual programming within the workflow designer enables infinite possibilities to create smart logical workflows. This is the most powerful way to connect everything with everyone.

  • Visual programming to accomplish any project requirement
  • Create templates in the workflow designer for often used logical workflows – great for bigger multiroom projects
  • Interact with almost any environment to realise the most versatile projects!

All with everything!

The modern world thrives on interconnected systems. SYMPHOLIGHT facilitates seamless integration with 3rd party devices, delivering a superior user experience.

  • Support multiple communication protocols
  • Built in secure webserver with http and https
  • Interact with almost any environment to realise the most versatile projects!

ActionPad Designer
is an easy to use tool to create ActionPad or website which allows interaction with your lighting installation. Everyone can have a dedicated control interface adapted to their own needs. For the best user experience on mobile devices, use the SymphoTouch App.

(REST) API & MQTT
is the standard way to communicate with 3rd party systems. From a 3rd party system it is possible to start, stop, fade, monitor, view alerts or make content changes from one or more SYMPHOLIGHT instances via your local network or from the internet.

Experts – Scripting is for you!
Sometimes, writing your own script can solve tasks faster or enable additional functionality. With our inbuilt C# scripting-editor you can create your own functionality blocks – and then simply drop it into the workflow designer and connect it with other objects.

Sympholight has them all

Sympholight serves as the central hub, supporting all common protocols. In conjunction with the SYMPL Interface Family and gateways, it enables the control of virtually any luminaire and communication with any third-party system. Sensors and other input devices can be easily integrated as well.

Release Notes V5.5 SR1

NOTICE

The support for the SYMPL Core S has been discontinued. This version is not available for the SYMPL Core S.

Core SP will continue to be supported.

General

  • FEATURE: This release adds support for the SYMPL Fusion 0-10V module.
  • FEATURE: Added RDM support for SYMPL Fusion DMX modules.
  • FEATURE: Added support for e:cue SymphoCity 2.0.
  • FEATURE: Allow replacement of DALI devices in live installations.
  • CHANGE: Optimized DALI communication for large-scale installations, delivering improved reliability and responsiveness in large DALI installations.
  • CHANGE: Improved the reliability of e:net connections on high load situations.
  • CHANGE: Added better notifications for “low on memory” situations reflecting the amount of memory of different devices.
  • CHANGE: Improved the handling of unreliable connections to DALI nodes. A rescan can now be omitted in most situations, causing the installation to be available more quickly.
  • CHANGE: Allow enabling/disabling the logging of Undo / Redo operations.
  • FIX: In some situations, the memory usage could increase significantly, sometimes leading to a premature shutdown of Sympholight.
  • FIX: Sympholight did not shut down gracefully in rare situations.
  • FIX: In rare cases, Sympholight was unable to load projects with specific content.
  • FIX: Improved the reliability of loading a damaged project.
  • FIX: In rare cases, Sympholight was unable to clean up and load a new project after another project was opened.
  • FIX: Improved the reliability of the 3D canvas visualization in larger DALI projects.
  • FIX: Improved the stability of the 3D canvas, especially when saving a project and closing Sympholight, and when using Sympholight with Remote Desktop software.
  • FIX: Improved the reliability of Sympholight’s backend services (e.g. for the Scheduler) on high load situations.
  • FIX: Improved the reliability of the integrated MQTT broker and MQTT accessors. In rare cases, Sympholight crashed after a project was saved successfully.
  • FIX: Improved the reliability of DALI group initialization in large DALI installations.
  • FIX: DALI ballasts that only support DT6 or DT8 (but not both) are now detected correctly.
  • FIX: Fixed that sometimes DALI ballasts randomly change their group assignment in larger installations.
  • FIX: In rare cases, updating the luminance of DALI ballasts did not work reliably.
  • FIX: When a SYMPL Core Sp was heavily overloaded, it warned about SYMPL Fusion modules not being available.
  • FIX: Changing the DMX universe length for universes used with SYMPL Fusion DMX modules lead to a crash.

Setup

  • CHANGE: Significantly improved the performance of creating large DMX fixture matrices, enabling much faster setup times for complex lighting layouts.
  • FIX: In rare cases, changing the DMX start address of a fixture did not work.

Content

  • FIX: In rare situations, deleting DMX fixtures could lead to a crash.
  • FIX: Improved the stability of the DMX and DALI scene editor.

Output

  • FIX: Improved the stability of ArtNet and Streaming ACN output.
  • FIX: Fixed the crossfade between contents when seeking to next cues manually.

Workflow Designer

  • FEATURE: The new DALI Group MQTT Report block allows monitoring and reporting of DALI devices via MQTT at large scale.
  • CHANGE: Improved performance when using large (10000+ blocks) workflows.
  • FIX: In some cases, changing the display configuration significantly (e.g., disconnecting from a docking station) caused a crash.
  • FIX: Sending events using the “Send to Network” block did not work.
  • FIX: Improved the stability of the Mutex Group block.
  • FIX: Fixed the visual representation of workflow template input/output ports when changing their data types.
  • FIX: Fixed a deadlock when undoing the removal of Workflow tabs.
  • FIX: The Combine Text block did not initialize its ports in some configurations.
  • FIX: In rare cases, Sympholight crashed when deleting a big number of blocks at once.
  • FIX: In rare cases, loading a project with scripts caused a deadlock.
  • FIX: The visualization of updated values did not work in all cases.
  • FIX: Allow UDP sending/receiving for more endpoint configurations on SYMPL Core Sp/Fusion devices.

ActionPad

  • FIX: In rare cases changing the position of a fader out of the view leads to a crash.
  • FIX: Removed an unintended white bar when using the ActionPad on mobile devices.
  • FIX: Added a graceful error handling when accessing ActionPad pages that don’t exist.

Scheduler

  • FIX: Changing the event list caused a long list to scroll to the top. Now it stays at the edited event such that the user can see the change.

Any feedback is highly appreciated via email.

Thank you!
